Our spring intern is now our newest MTSE facilitator. Aleeyaa Alam graduated with a Master’s in Public Health in the Spring of 2026 and joined our facilitation team in August. As a public health professional and advocate passionate about pleasure-based sexual health and youth advocacy, she is sharing her insight into why, in sexual health conversations, people are so comfortable talking about risk—and so uncomfortable talking about pleasure.

Drawing on her work in sexual health, she makes the case for why that gap matters, and what it costs us. She advocates for a fuller definition of sexual health, one that includes pleasure, not just prevention.
